You just can't beat a Suede Kashimax seat.

They keep getting better the older they get.

those suede Kashimaxes are the bomb, but gettin hard to come by, and pricey too...

HUGE props on the Quad, that thing is killer...

Amazing how truely old yet modernly usable your quad looks, Jet Black. I am surprised you would want to race on such a collectable saddle. I almost thought that was an old quad until I peeped out the lock on grips. Then I noticed how far apart the wheels were and the V-brakes. I see a cable mount for cantilever brakes and no looptail...is that threadless?...and what kinda stem are you running?

Thanx I love this site:)

Thanks , for the compliments guys.

My 1997 Quadangle is very close to the "dream bike" I would have wanted to own as a 13yr old back in 1981.
Except , I can ride this Quadangle now & not have to worry about breaking any of the parts on it + it stops as well.
The frame had _all_ the triangles that the original lootail had , I don't like the Quads that are missing
the triangle near the seatpost , personal preference.

Parts fitted range from uncut 1981 GT Santa Ana Pro bars to the 2001 Graphite Tuff's with Ted Carls first run of hand made flanges on them. Whats a Graphite Tuff wheel without it's signature campagnolo style flange ? It's got a set of first issue DX pedals from 1982 & a spare set of Black 21st century DX pedals for that smooth all sealed bell bearing drive line ride.

Threadless forks & a retro Pro neck is in the mail to replace the GT Piston neck. The rear tuff will get replaced with a brushed alloy 7x rim , double butted
SS spokes , black alloy nipples & a black stamped flip flop sunshine hub.
Racing & riding with a black or graphite tuff on the front & spokes on the rear was the cool look to have bitd.

As for seats....

From 1982 onwards my BMX race bike had a black padded leather Ariake , "Aero Jaguar" seat on it ,
Japanese hand made & really comfortable to sit on when waiting to race probably cost me $75 back then , I still have it today , it's is a bit torn up but I can get it repadded & skinned in leather or seude easy enough , same goes for the brown Kashimax on my
Quad , if it does get torn , I can get it re padded & skinned , when you buy a quality bike seat they are worth repairing as they will usually last forever.

I like it too , a classic looking bike that can still see serious duty track time without any problems.
