My friends' birthday is coming up, and I'd like to buy some parts for his 2004 Floval Flyer, but I don't know what size seatpost / seatpost clamp is on one of those.

Can anybody help me out with sizes?

Also interested in what seat / post / clamp combos any of you guys might be running or recommending.

Thanks!

I have an '03 and an '07 Floval and they both take a 27.2mm seatposts. So I will hazard a guess that your '04 takes the same size. I also believe that means you will need a 1 1/4 in. seat clamp.

Will he be racing it, or just cruisin' around? I like the new pivotal seats/posts that are out there. Similiar to the uni-seats of old, but with more versatility. They are easy to adjust and install, but kinda pricey, I'm more of a color choices kinda guy, so I usually go with whatever I think looks cool. Most of the seats out there are made to be comfortable, so go with what you think he will like.

The '04 Floval is the ball burnished one, and is the first year with the Euro BB. A friend of the family has been racing one for the past couple of years, and she likes it. Cool lookin' frame. Post some pics once it's built.

Thanks Nemo.

Probably just gonna be a street cruiser, but every time I look at I look at it, I just want to trick it out out, ya know?
He's not a racer or much of a BMX'er (I'm trying to fix that), but I'm slowly turning him on to the sickness that is building bmx'ers, ha!
