Huh, that is nutty. It's probably a V R P.
thats what i thought at first, but i don't think he stamped "QA" type serials in his frame.
i thought it was just because i am heavily medicated (michigan cold/cough/sore throat etc) - but now that i think about it, i don't think i have ever seen this frame before.

I think it is a very attractive design regardless of who made it. kind of steep price, though.

This is being discussed on the "other" board, and the consensus is that it is an SE "one off" frame when they were going from the chromoly double down tube frame into the "fat" downtube aluminum frames era.
thanks Capt. Nemo. i really dig that frame - TL, are you watching this?

I wonder if it's truly chromoly, or somebody stuck the decals on it... I have a complete set of decals like that, head tube, seat tube, seat stays... and the P.K. Ripper down tube decals...
I'd like to stick a magnet on it personally...
But I do however own a fat tube Aluminum frame that has a serial number 0093 away from that one, so maybe it's really aluminum... If it is, I'd like to get my grubby paws on it.
BridgeCityBikes if that's really aluminum, that would be the ONE and only one I've ever saw of that design. In which case the current price would be ridiculously low IMO.
sprinter - take a look at the welds, those sure look like aluminum weld beads to me. you can see the beefy welds in the last picture pretty good, by the head tube.
still 2 days left, any bets on what that frame will go for? i would think this frame should go for more than a looptail quad.

The discussion on the other site says that the guy selling these frames (notice the big tube size on the PK) says that he has a freind that was working at SE when Devitt closed the doors and he (Mike D) paid this guy that worked there in frames instead of $$$$ at the end. This is what the seller claims, not me.

I notice that most of the folks here are also members over there.
Well Sprinter, looks like you have yet another frame to buy so I can stop by and check it out. Maybe you can get a second job, please? I have bike needs, you know.
