Keep It Warm...I stopped by Valencia today and talked to Mike, who called Ron, his SE guy while I was there, who told him (who told me): 1 to 2 weeks. 2 weeks tops.

Does TL know something his reps don't know? Or are his reps just more optimistic?

I think it's funny you guys are all freaking out. If you read through the original thread, Todd says the first batch of 50 should start shipping the first week in Feb. With the rest, coming in about a month later. It seems to me that it's still pretty much on track.

I guess no retro thread/project is worth it's salt without a little DRAMA.

Damn these frames haven't been made for how many years? And we've got people bichin over waiting another couple of weeks. I'm starting to understand something TIM stated about repop stuff, it exists because people want INSTANT gratification, and they want it yesterday...

Todd can't win... if they had done this and not said a word, people would of been complaining about not knowing ahead of time, to save money or gather parts... He tells us they are coming, and shows us some drawings and prototypes, and people want them yesterday...

Geez stop busting his chops, be happy they are making them PERIOD!

Stuff like this, un-needed headaches, I can see where a company could just say screw it, and not want to mess around with a project like this. I'm sure this limited run isn't significant enough financially to have a great effect on SE's bottom line.

Not to even mention the time of year this is, weather, shipping delay possibilities etc... Just be glad they were made, and are coming at all.

And yeah before anybody states the obvious, yes I have my frame, and not one single part for it. But you know what, I couldn't care less if I had it two weeks ago, two weeks from now, or even two years from now. I'm just absolutely happy as hell that SE actually made them, and I was able to acquire one, period.

Thanks Todd, you've done some incredible work with the SE brand, and speaking for myself, I am very grateful. I am looking forward to see where you take SE tomorrow, and acquiring new SE's for my collection.

Yes they haven't been made in like forever & yes I will wait , but yeah...it's a long winter (even here in CA) & some of us are all comping at the bit wanting to BUILD instead of "build on paper" over & over again...know the feeling? Thought so
It's fine with me to wait, my son will be getting his 2007 Lil Wildman (complete w/ 16" Tuffs) on Saturday (for his 4th. B-day) so yeah...that's gonna be exciting...and it's gonna make me want that Quad to show up even sooner, I'm sure!

It's ALL YOUR FAULT Mr. Wildman! If you wouldn't have made that "gotta have retro looptail Quadangle" in classic baby blue, I wouldn't have wanted these particular cranks and I would have had my bike built already and I'd be riding it with my family and spending quality time with them and....**huff, huff, huff** I'm hyper-ventilating...*breathe, breathe, deep breath**...

I am not b!tching or freaking out. I just passed on the facts as I received them.

Whenever they show up they show up....I've got more important stuff to worry about.

Hey, this is neither here nor there, but are the new 21.5 TT aluminum quad frames out yet? Those things are sick-looking.

Did anyone get their looptail? I mean, of people that are waiting after the first batch? Any word?

I'm going to go bug poor Mike at Valencia. I'm starting to get sketched, since I saw someone selling #49 on eBay w/a damaged and "repaired by SE Bikes" dropout. I'm hoping mine doesn't come out of the bottom of the container ship with a few cracks in it...

Mostly, I just want to ride it! I've thus far missed chances to ride it at my local opener and the West Coast nats. I stopped crossing my fingers cause I was getting arthritic.

Yipee Mine got a work out on the weekend. Here down-under Very enjoyable day. 100% success rate for mine.

Around the outside actually, long sweeper and everyone is friendly second round of our regional champion ship. 1st, 1st, 1st and 1st in the final I think the bike can retire now as the champ lol

Okay, here's the hot news about the ice cold shipping from my dealer, who heard it from a customer, who emailed the SE rep, who (I guess) heard it from TL. (Meaning, yeah--it's through the grapevine.)

Please sit down.

The frames will be shipping to dealers on April 9.

Time to wait it out. Some more.
