scottytbmx
Here it is.

Joe
SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! i'm lovin' it!!

i definately want in on this.

retrodave, are you an SE dealer? if so, whats your bike shop phone # or website?

also, judging by when the 2006's came out, when is this model expected out? early/mid 2007?
retrodave
I hope that all you guys that dont have a dealer near you will let me be of service too your needs.
Paperboy
I'm very impressed.
retrodave
1-352-494-8077. give me a call sometime. We can talk fishing, the weather, how dang hot it is down here. The hot college girl next door who likes too wash her car in a thong bikini. Oh, sorry. You want too talk bikes.
Joe
count me in for (1) looptail quadangle! let the community know when you can/will start taking deposits.

seeing that you had spy pics of the quad & loop...........how bout coughing up those pics of your next door neighbor girl now too.
Todd Lyons
Glad y'all like what we got cookin' for ya. Take note with the drawings above that these are just mock-ups for color and graphics. Don't start nit-pickin' the tubing and whatnot because these aren't frame drawings for production. They're just for color graphics purposes. Cool.

scottytbmx
Sorry! I was the tube nitpicker. Well, better than a nose picker.
ladykilla
im i really reading this......new looptail quads and pk's retro-ized this is gotta be B.S. or a dream or sumpthing!!!
OS Jbay
I'll be going with one of each, any idea on what the top tube length will be? and how soon the SE Dealers can place a order?
Todd Lyons
21.25 for the PK loop and 21.5 for the Quad loop.

We should hae these after the first of the year.

Most of the rest of our race bikes will be in in October.

Woody's Hot Rods
Well darn it. I thought I had enough retro bikes. Gotta have those now!
Capt. Nemo
Let's talk about actual numbers. How many should they make? Since the retro's are spread out over 2. perhaps 4 models , how many are people willing to commit to? I think maybe Todd should start a thread asking how many people would buy them, and how many.

Plus, also considering buyers not on this or any other vintage bmx website. I know of at least 4 if not 5 that would buy one in a heartbeat, that have never been here.
Spicoli
I think they would sell easily, especially after the Kappa situation...

are they going to use the "SE Racing" name on these frames ?
retrodave
Since the pics were leaked I have 150 orders per one of each. Does that answer your question. Thats 300 total. I have people that know people on this site asking for one. One of them dropped your name on me Capt.. I hope too god tod makes enough of them retros.
Sgt11
Those look incredible. Any guess on pricing?
Spicoli
I'm down for 1 of each, how can we pre order them ?
Capt. Nemo
So I guess the 500 pc. figure isn't too far off, eh?
If Pacific can sell 500 of the Mongoose replica, you can be pretty sure SE can sell that many of their legendary models, even if it takes a little while.
Brent
I agree with you Capt. But, I don't see it taking very long at all to sell that many. Hats off to you Todd! great job! Also really glad to see the retro pads make a comeback to!

It could depend on SE and Todd's long range plans. Is this gonna be a one shot deal, or will other colors be available in '08 and so on? If so, a small run each year in a new color would make a difference in how many are gonna be produced for '07.
AussieRampar
Woo Hoo!

I'm In, one of each (might have to sell the car or the first born or something).

Perfect colour choice too, go nice with my tan looptail pk ripper and my current project.

-Pete.
AussieRampar
Are these completes only? I thinkg they would shift a heap of frame/fork combos (just like BITD)

-Pete.
retrodave
AR, the retros are frame only. We can hope the tod is going too make them f/f.
IAN *Knievel*
sorry cant find it, Aluminium or Cro-mo, price?
Jeff Utterback
If they will sell me a PK with no gusset I'm down! LOL

Looks great guys!
Paperboy
It would be cool if the frames have a somewhat presentable package like the Retro Redline. If I bought one, I don't think I'll build it for a long while.
outfront
Dave glad the cat is out of the bag, now when they come in remember our conversation a month or so ago....I have been assembling parts for my build. Might need two of them one to ride and one to look at.

Kind of like having the father son thing. Put a loopquad 2006/7 next to the 1978/9 model. Ooooowwww might have to build them identical.....

I can not wait, can not wait....Dave I need to call you.....can not wait....
retrodave
I would like to take this time too let everyone everyone know that these "retro's" will only be available as a frame only. there are forks available also, but . not together as a frame set. Also, If at anytime these bikes become available as a complete bike. I can not ship you a complete SE bike . In all fairness to all the other SE dealers around the country, this rule was instatuted to protect ones teratory. I can and will continue to work my *** off to promote SE Bikes. With frame, forks, shirts, and everything else related too the Brand sales.
Thank you. retrodave.
SLAYER
Dave, any word if the Mini and Jr Rippers will be available in the US? I sent you another email on it. Let me know. If not, I need to go another direction.
Jainbaby
Todd,

When will dealers be able to take pre-orders?

Any expected ship date or retail price?

I would like 2 of each frame. Who do I pay?
ColoredTuffs.com
Guys....
(FACT) ....RetroDave knows more than what he's shared here...... LOL...
Mums still the word!!!!
ColoredTuffs.com
Dave... so how many did you order?
retrodave
Hehe,
Woody's Hot Rods
I gotta have one of each frame. I'll also need 2 forks. Let us know when we can send you some greenbacks Dave.
JennBMXmom
Dave, Just don't forget about us when you make that order!! LOL!!!
Capt. Nemo
>START RANT<

This is so freakin' stupid. Why even post ANYTHING if you're not gonna devulge EVERYTHING.

This whole " I have a secret." and "I know more than you." crap is irritating to say the least.

It's pretty sad that I get more info from this message board than I can get from my SE dealer and his sales rep.

I would have just as soon waited a little while longer to get the official word from Todd and SE than be teased by some people in the know.

A simple "Wait and see, you won't be disappointed." like I got from Todd was good enough for me.

It sounds to me, and I could be wrong, that retrodave MAY have some exclusive deal going. I hope I'm wrong, but until he spills some more beans, that's what it looks like to me.

I know Dave is a HUGE player when it comes to SE, and thank goodness for his support of the brand, but let's remember that he's not the ONLY player.

This is not meant to be a slam on anyone, it's just my frustration right now.

My daughter and I applied for the Terror Squad as soon as it was announced, and it was a GREAT day for us when we received our acceptance letters. I'm proud to still be riding, racing, and representing a brand that meant so much to me as a kid.

I support this brand with all my heart, and do what I can to spread the word that SE is back.

I may represent a small fish, but what we lack in size, we make up for in numbers.

> END RANT<

Now back to the topic at hand:

Someone posted earlier about possible production numbers, and how many can the hobby support? I'd like to get back to that topic to see what a ballpark production run should be.
retrodave
Wow Capt. nemo, I relly dont know what too say too that.
JennBMXmom
Watch out Dave! Sounds like Nemo is a little PO'd!
J/K! LMAO!!!
Gooser
Yeesh, just when you think 9 bikes are enough, you've got to get 10 and 11. Thanks a lot, Todd...

Any plans for a Quadzilla type cruiser? Or a quad 24...
SLAYER
That's what I would hope for. Start offering Quads in all 3 sizes. Not all of us can ride 20"s anymore. I guess I will stick to trying to find one of the 26" Aluminum Quads that Sal made. Or see if he can make another for me. Either way, I have to have an Aluminum Quad in my cruiser collection. I'm not too fond of the Skunk Quads so it up to Sal on this dream.
GFR Industries
I'm with you slayer on the aluminum quad but I'm looking for a 24". I have some plans in the works to take care of it.
bbohlmann
Ahh, I thought I would be the only one at Rockford with a new school 20" looptail Quad next year......

I'm covered on the 24"

I thought I was going to be done building new school retros, thanks SE, now I'm going to have to build some more!!

- Bob
bkquill
Is there an offical "waiting list" for the Quad?

Cheers,
bq
djbdb
21.5" TT...WAAAAY too long for me - they look beautiful but too big for me to ride. Why does all the new stuff have to be designed for people that are 6 foot?
Spicoli
Todd, how about tweekin that design on the Quad just a bit, and build an STR-1 instead ???

how about a JU-6 ???

SE already has the PK and QA in there lineup, so why not capitalize on the SE herritage a little by offering tribute bikes based on these legendary frames made "in'famouse by the legends that raced them ??

are they going to wear the "SE Racing" headbadge ?

how about a Fred Blood Quad Freestyler w/ Standing Gear lol, now I'm really pushing it ??

anyhoo, I want 1 of each of whatever you make, you and the SE guys rule for trying to make this happen...keepin the old-skool alive
EL CID
Man I want one of both!!!
Keep_It_Warm
Yea, me too...I need one loop quad.

Just too cool NOT to order one.
Iceman
I just can't stop looking at the pic of that Quad.

I keep trying to picture how I'm gonna build that sucker up.

Ho boy...another project.

Iceman
TOMMY2WHEEL
I would also like to get my hands on a loop Quad in powder blue with some chrome landing gear forks. It would be cool if they had some camo pads for the frame, neck, and bars. how bout some power wing bars, and brake mounts on the chrome forks. I just can't stop dreaming............
