Anyone got any tips on how best to remove the rust from nickel Mongoose forks? The rust is at it's worst around the fork crown.
I would like to preserve the original nickel finish as best as possible.

hey revcore , best tip is ted carls oxalic acid method , its no different from chrome to nickel . i have a nickel 77 goose frame here at the moment but its got no rust , just stained from age and sticker marks . i would usually leave it as it is but it has holes drilled for a stand (bloody 70's) so they will be brazed in and the frame will be powdered to cover the braze .
