Thanks,

They came stock on the GT Pro Series. They were a popular crank in the mid 80s, but rather expensive for 1 pc...Also called Turbox.

Hmmm. Took a set of these SR hollows to the tip last weekend. My son seriously bent them jumping on his MX2 - he's only 12 years old and 42 kgs (93 lbs). Replaced them with a set of near indestructable Takagi 170s. I don't think many SRs could possibly have lasted....
Kurt.
They had bent downwards AND inwards such that the bearings were grinding. I think these were an experimental crank, made out of cheese!!!

I dunno - the hollow SRs were pretty cool.

I cleaned snapped a Takagi arm off BITD.

Here's a set of the SRs on my 84 GT (180mm):

I found my Hutch at the local track with a 40 year old racer jumping doubles on it !. (he purchased it new ) I may have saved his life by buying it from him that day, as the crank are like ticking time bombs.

Thanks for the input,

Brian
