UH SERIAL NUMBER?

AS FOR THE WOODY BARS there are some out there that are very close. so close only an expert could tell example: GHP star bars.

as far as the frame set you can tell from the frame standers and foot pegs overseas are a little longer but some times some people have american frames with overseas forks so unless you remember the lenth of your pegs or have before pics it will be very hard to tell post up some pics and iam sure alot of hutch guys will chime in

even if your so called friend had the baseball ground off, your serial # should be all numbers and it should be located on the inside on the rear dropout UNDER the axel slot..... overseas serial numbers are NOT all numbers and are located ABOVE the axel slot..

the best way to determine USA vs import hutch frames is where the chainstays meet the BB.

the vent holes on a USA frame are approx 1/4".

on an import frame, those holes are approx the same size as the chainstay tubing.

i never knew about the hole size but it sounds right ... i know my US frame does have small holes but i never loked inside my japanese frame... but either way its easer to check the serial location like i said above, no fuss no muss and you will know right away..

Easy. Dot give your stuff to someone you dont trust and eat the savings.
