hey guys

if any of you were near rockford, mi last night & heard this unexplained big AAAAAUUUUUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!, that was me.

i'd gotten (what i thought) was a great score -- a chrome sedisport chain from the secret dusty old chain bin in my local oldschool bmx shop, planning to use it on the replica i'm building of my old '82 haro. i knew the chain wasn't any too long when i got it, but it looked like it might be barely long enough when i held it up against a few bikes they had there.

naturally, when i tried it on the haro last night, it was about 5-6 links too short. hence the yell.

does any of this kind of thing ever happen to you guys, or is it always just me?

do any of you, in your cans-o-chain pieces, perhaps have a short bit of that chain that you could pass along to a desperate guy?
