I have a set of Takagi Tourney cranks. I bought a Takagi 46t MX sprocket and the bolt circle is too small. The box for the cranks shows a BMX bike. Are there two different bolt circles for BMX cranks?
I dont have a metric tpe measure yet so any help would be great.
Thanks, Dan

It takes a smaller BCD spider than usual. I have a source for a couple of them and will check to see if I can get you one if you need one

Reilley, that would be great. Just to clarify the bolt circle on the cranks is larger than the sprockets I bought. PS I'm trying to find a black 46t larger BC chain ring.
Thank you.

BMX chainrings have always come in two main sizes.
110mm and 130mm.110 seemed to always be more common.130 was more commonly a road bike chainring size but still used in BMX.
Takagi was always 130mm-or so I thought until recently.
I won a lot of Takagi chainrings off of E-Pay this year hoping to use one of them on a mongoose spider(130mm).They turned out to be somewhere in between 110 and 130mm.I had never seen this size before.I still don't know what they fit.
Maybe you have the same type of ring Goosefarmer.
THis photo may help. The silver ring is a 130mm road chainring. The black one is said Takagi ring in mystery size.

I think your cranks need a 130mm ring.
I am not sure what the ring you have will fit even though it is a Takagi brand.

besides the usual 110mm and 130mm, takagi (and some others) also had a 120mm.

OK so i bought a metric tape measure, and did a little math today. The cranks I have are 130mm BC diameter. So if anybody has a black 46 tooth, and a black 44 tooth (two diferent bikes same cranks) Takagi sprocket I'm looking to buy.
PS I have one black 46t and 44t 120mm Takagi MX sprockets for sale or trade.
Thanks, Dan.
