Hi, I bought this DG project off the bay a few days ago...I need to know what size seat clamp and post she'll need, 1 inch???????? I realize this is a dumb question to the pros, but I want to get it right. ALSO, What type of seat clamp should I get?????? I was thinking Tuf Neck or ACS, I found a gold Tuf Neck stem finally. Let me know what you think I should go with. thanks, Darin

I almost bid on that auction -- specifically for the pads -- but my wireless internet connection went down with a minute to go.

Should take a 1 inch clamp and 7/8 seatpost. I kind of like the flutted posts on DGs. As for a clamp, tuf neck sounds ok (and would match the stem). You might also consider a suntour, which you can find pretty easily on ebay for a reasonable price. There's a few pics of DGs on some recent threads on this site (and in the museum) that have different post/clamp combos you might want to look at before making a decision.

Best of luck with your build and please post some pics when it's finished.

My DG is fitted with a 7/8 fluted post and an Excalibler clamp. The post fits pretty loosely. You may need to add a shim to avoid squishing the frame.
