Ok Getting the arms on is self explanatory (done that), but how do you use this tool to remove a crank arm?
This is a Profile type installer/remover. I'm use to dealing w/Redline Flight 2X pinch bolts and Typical MTB Cranks.

You screw in the bolt part and hit it with a hammer. Use the ti prep and it should slide on and off easier. You only need the sleeve part to put the cranks on.

Whoa, stop.
The Redline Flite II arms are on and off without using a puller. Lossen the pinch bolts, pull off the center bolt and slide off the arm.

Are you talking about square-drive cranks which use a 14mm nut? You need a different type of puller for them.
Let me make this easy: Use a Profile puller on Profile cranks. I'm not ever sure it'll thread into some other form of crank, and I'm real sure it's not required on Redline Flite IIs.

Elvis I think he is trying to say that he is more used to dealing with the RL and other cranks and not that he is using the Profile puller/tool on them?

OK. I'll toss a dog in this fight.
I just picked my first pair of newschool Profile cranks for one of my rider bikes.
There's no threads to screw a puller into!!
I guess that's why you need a genuine Profile puller huh? How does it work w/o theads??? I'm probably gonna need one 'cause I never get the spacing right the first time. (or 5th)

You remove the sleeve, thread the bolt all the way in, and hit it with a hammer. This knocks the spindle through the other side, removing the arm on the side you screw the puller into.
