hey guys -- do any of you remember these padsets from the early '80's that looked like confederate flags (red, with the "stars & bars" across them)? i had a set on my old bike, and am looking for another, but can't remember who they were made by. i'd guess either rad pad or zap pads. any ideas?

They were Zap Pads.

There was a complete NOS set of those went stratospheric on the bay a few months ago. I'm thinking around 3 hundred. I believe it was 76-trans-am that sold them.

There's a guy locally that has a set on his 26 inch Champion.

I bought 3 sets of Confederate pads back in the late 90's from my local bike shop. These were made by Flite. I also remember StickEmUp-the sticker place that always had ads in the 80's BMX mags, they sold Confederate pads for awhile but I don't know who made them. I sold my 3 sets on Ebay a few years ago and I remember I got a lot more money for them than I ever expected. I was gonna buy a DK General Lee frame so that's why I bought the pads. I might still have a pic of my Flite pads, let me check.

I've been looking for a set of the zaps for about 2 years now and I've just about given up hope. I bid on the set that was on evilbay, that MoGas was speaking of and was outbid. My bid was 295.00 and they went for more than that. I put a bid on the Flite version to, but not as much. I think they went for over a 100.00.

I didn't have the pads but I did have a Uni Turbo seat cover with the confederate flag on it
