I've had no luck finding a black CD chainwheel, so I'm going to paint my green one...BTW, if your reading this and you have 1 that you could send my way, I'll still take it
The only problem that I see is that I will probably get a little overspray on the machined CD side of the sprocket as I dont think I can get 100% coverage w/ masking tape due to the design.
What would be the best way to clean up the overspray from the CD area without scratching or damaging that area ??

Cover the area you don't want painted with vaseline or grease. After you paint you just wipe it off.

Maybe use a claybar to remove the overspray. Might get stuck in the grooves though.

Maybe try looking for a black cd powerdisc and use a black chainring. That would look cool.
It would be easier to paint a disc too. (no teeth)
The vaseline trick works too. Good tip for painting window frames w/o having to scrape the windows afterwords.
