i just scored what i thought was a sweet deal on a one piece Hanabishi crank. turns out the threads for the bb (drive side) are some crazy a** 32 thread 7/8's od . while the other side is a standard 24thread, these are nos and no signs of rethreading is evident. anyone ever heard of this? what to do?

I repair fitness equipment for gyms. Over the years, I have run across alot of exercise bikes that have cranks/bottom brackets like this. I have not seen any of them in a while though (most exercise bikes use 3 pc cranks now). I used to order the BBs from bicycle distributors, so if your LBS uses either Hawley or QBP, they should be able to get you a set. They are pretty cheap, usually $10 or $12.
