Preparing to start a resto on an old Powerlite. Had decided upon Black for the F&F.

Just got an old pair of Powerlite bars and the chrome is completely shot.

My question is this: Did Powerlite make their bars in any colors or just show chrome?

I'm hoping to be able to paint them if they were available in colors.

Any Powerlite experts out there that have details regarding colors for bars from around '79-'81?

You have a gusset Powerlite frame? I don't believe Powerlite made bars until later, like 83-84 and on. Every set I've ever seen was chrome or natural aluminum.
