I've just bought one, and fitted it according to the instructions and everything, but I'm worried about overtorquing the bolt. I know they don't feel like conventional stems when you tighten them down, but I don't want to faceslam the concrete when my bar slips, or crush my steerer tube by overtightening. I think I need to find a torque wrench. Any advice or experience to share? P.S. It feels great and looks jammy!

I think their warnings concerning overtightening have many people overly concerned about crushing. I know I did as well at first. I'm using a full Odyssey set up (bars, stem, fork) and I have about 2 threads showing on the non-allen head side. No slippage or crushing. Basically, clamp it down. If it slips, tighten more.

Thanks for the advice! I've just given it another torque-up.

I to was a bit worried but Ive been using it for a few months now and its held up great,
I always tighten it up then go and tet it by doing a few kerb endo's
