I am almost dead on for my 1979 Team bike and everyone has been a really big help so far. I have one thing that might not be right for a 79. I was looking at the orignal Team Mongose ad (ones with Silver raised Arayas) and I noticed the bars are blue alloy. What bars are those and would Race Inc. bars in blue be correct? ALSO notice the seat post decal on ths picture is already pulling away!!!!! Anyone have a NOS DeCoster fork? I have a Team fork on there now but would like o have the DeCoster option.

We need to hook up, I'm building the same bike.

Those are Araya 7b's. A '79 Team Mongoose wouldn't be proper without them.

I do have a spare nos DeCoster fork, the Team Mongoose fork didn't come out till 1980.

I have everything in a special box awaiting Bill decals.

Race Inc. Bars would be certainly correct for 1979 but I question wether they would be on a factory goose. Maybe tuf neck alloy bars would be another choice. Randy, whats on yours?

No-name blue alloy bars, 8" rise.

I have NOS 7bs with high flange Shimano hubs - non flutted blue post (original to bike) - 9+ original paint frame, NOS pads - NOS Mongoose suede seat - it is pretty much dead on except for fork. I have three NOS Team forks - but No DeCosters! I want this and have LOTS to trade!
