Hello, here is my used early ´85 RL-20 II,
my question is: Fresh powdercoat or only touch up
the frame? Has original decals on it. Where i become a Stickerset for ´85 f/f set. The Forkstickers are gone.

If it doesn't bother you too much just touch it up. If you won't be happy with it that way then repowder it. Original finish bikes are the $#%t.

But that isn't original, they never came all white like that. If you like it, just keep it as it is and ride it and enjoy it! There's nothign wrong with it the way it is, it's still a bicycle and it should be used for what it was designed to do.
If you want a showpiece though, I don't think I'd just repowder it. Now I am just saying this as what i would do myself, not what you should do; I personally feel that RL20IIs are such a high profile and rare, special bike, that I'd have to restore it to full original glory. that means stripping it and having it rechromed, then fresh powder in the two tone finish.
I know this would cost about $400 to do so it's probably cost prohibitive. NOS decals aren't as hard to find as you think.
Anyways, that's just what I'd do if I EVER finally get my %^@#$@#$#%@$@# own dang RL20II... someone PLEASE hook me up!!! I have other rare Redline/Prostyler/Peregrine stuff to trade...

THAT JUST MAY BE ORIGINAL!!!
the first 250 RL20-IIs came solid paint. this 250 includes all the colors of the time (white, turquoise, yellow, radberry).

It´s the original colour. I bought my f/f set in summer 1985 in munich and it was a complete white set out of the box.
When only 250 will made from them I think I let him original.
A real peace of used Freestyle History!

Keep it original. I've got an original California Red RL20-II that I've decided to keep original - much cheeper and more valuable perhaps? Especially with a 1 of 250 produced frame.
