I try my luck here, if there's someone who'd identify which brand and model this is. I got it from ebay a while ago with Mongoos Decade forks and the seller didn't know what it was. So far there are guesses ranging from Ammaco to Redline to Diamond Back, but it seems to have a little bit of each in it's desing.
The serial on this thing is #DS 70473327 and it feels/looks like a quality frame. It is kinda on the heavy side so i doubt it's full cro-mo frame, maybe tri-moly construction or full hi-ten. It will be powder coated glossy white sometime soon.
I don't have the slightest clue of what it is because i am not familiar at all with frames this old so any help and clues will be highly appreciated!

Not sure of the frame... its got to be mid 80's because of no brake mounts, just the caliper brake hole, but are the eggs and lemons are artistic thing?

no way that's a Schwinn. The rear triangle is reminiscent of something though... hmmm.

It definitely has a Haro/Torker look.
It's got coaster brake brackets on both droputs?

@Sidehack, yep the eggs 'n lemons are artsy-artsy, and i needed something to bring some more color to the picture.
About the frame,
what i know or have seen pictures Schwinn Freeforms/Predators, none of them had twin top tubes. (i guess?)
The rear standing platforms on those chainstays remind me a lot of the Diamond Back Dominguez model i've seen pictures of but again, that didn't have twin top tubes either. Yes, there seem to be coaster brackets both sides which is kind of weird to me too. Another guess is that it's some English manufacturer which i know nothing about.
Damn i wish i had a 25 year stash of old bike magazines to search from..

i can't say what "brand" it was, but i can point you in the direction of what type of thing it probably was.
in the '80s, when freestyle was just starting to come on strong, a lot of the distributors (of either "brand name" bikes or parts) would often have a line of "house brand" bikes, as well. these were usually a cheaper alternative line to the "big names" that they carried. they were taiwanese-made and usually had multiple obvious influences from the name brand bikes. that is probably what this one began as.
some examples of this are:
mid/late '80s the parent company of Haro and Raleigh used the "cycle pro" name in this manner (the cycle pro "mag F/S", for instance). here in wisconsin we had a big GT (and others) distributor who created the "traker" name for "in-house". those started out as a high-end frame line, but later became their cheapy freestyle/kids bike line. if anyone has ever seen a bike called "quentin", they were a mid-west distributor and that was their in-house line (not a very creative name, i must say ).

I have that exact frame with Western Auto decals on it. I would go with mr coasterbrake's outlook on this one.
The frame I have is not in the worst shape I am the second owner and the guy thought he got it around 85 or so as a kid.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I'm somewhat familiar with the "house brand" concept and it explains a lot. It would be cool though to see one in better shape than what i have now to see what kind of forks it originally had, the color, the parts as i'm going restore it anyway.
@Puddleduck, is it possible for you post a picture of yours with the "Western Auto" decals. I'd be very curious indeed to see how my frame might have had once looked and just for comparison?
Thanks again.

Oh, another thing. Is there any database for BMX/Freestyle frame serial #'s besides that one GT-(i guess) serials?
This has the abovementioned serial "DS 70473327" and it would be very interesting to find out what those letters (and numbers) stand for.

Bump.
Sorry for bringing this up again, but i'd really appreciate to find out what kind of decals i should be looking for as i'm going to have it powdered sometime soon. I don't want to leave it just blank frame with some color. I would like to add some matching decals/graphics if possible.
Now i'm not short of imagination, but rather just curious to do the project right. So even though it's most likely just a sidekick "brand" of a distributor etc. i would still be interested to find out the it's "name" or a so called "brand" if you will.
Any extra help with/without pictures or ideas, would be great to help figure out how it once might have looked.
Thanks.
