Found a used pair wth bbs and spindle, problem is the arms r pretty scratched up, how do I make them prettier? Will buffin them remove the imperfection? Do they make repro decals? Thks.

sand buff and polish. aluminum is easy to work with.
i have seen those repro crank decals on ebay.

That's what I did with a set I had. I started with 400 sandpaper. Then I used the 400 wet. After that, I went finer and finer. When done with that, I polised them up with Mother's mag polish. They came out great.

Did a set last night. If you want the finish to look somewhat original make your last step wet sanding with 2000 grit and skip the paste polish.
I did the paste polish and they looked too shiny. So I knocked em back down with the wet 2000. Looks perfect.

yup good job. I polished mine out then wet sanded with scotch bright. Came out pretty close. Now I want to get them clear anodized to hold that look.
