Maybe someone can help me with this. I have a 2005 Haro Sport and I am trying to run an old school white lower gyro cable, but I cannot fit the end with the ball through the gyro tabs on the frame. Do I have to cut the ends off and run knarps?

Yeah, the old Gyros used larger balls compared to the new ones. You might be able to grind them down on the sides to make them fit through the holes.

You can do he knarps, but to maintain the most integrity, I'd file the ends down. I've done that with a few sets of cables. Takes about 10 minutes with a hand file. Would probably only take a few seconds on the bench grinder. I was just too skittish about accidentally ruining the cables on the grinder. Figured the file was safer.

i did this by cutting a grove in the bottom plate, so i could slide the cables in from the side. didnt have to mess with the cable ends one bit. use a dremel with a thin cuttin blade, works wonders, lol.
