I purchased a CW Z-1500 from Ebay (Jeff Norton) and will be assembling it sometime soon. Does anyone have advice on things that I should do differently (rubber washers, etc.) when putting it together? This is the first bike assembly I've ever done. Thanks from a first time poster, long time lurker!

From the looks of the pics, it looks like it will come completely unassembled, in the original box. I really wanted to preserve the bike as best I can, especially the frame and forks. I'm sure there are some tricks that people use to prevent scratching up the dropouts, etc.
Thanks!

Hey, rhooks4, I got one of those as well from Jeff Norton. It came in the CW box pretty well assembled. The headset and bottom brackets were in place and tight, cranks were installed and forks installed. Even the rear wheel was in place, with the chain around the freewheel. Brakes came in place, too. It really took me 15 minutes to have the whole thing ready to ride once I opened up the box. Will be a very easy assembly for you. Enjoy it!

I picked one up from him this past Sunday so my wife could have her own old school ride. Jeff is a cool dude.
Assembly is pretty straight forward; all the tools you will need are metric; 8mm, 10mm, 14mm, allen keys and a phillips i think. Wipe it down, slap the front wheel, stem, bars and brakes levers on. Spray some windex on the bars to help slide the grips on, wait a few minutes to let it dry and start riding.
I haven't had much experience with using plastic washers, so I can't help you there.
Have fun. Dont forget the chainguard and the reflectors.
haha...i bought one of him for my woman too! he's getting rich off our nickels and dimes boys!
