To anyone out there with knowledge : My neighbors just gave me a frame. The dropouts are looptail w/ holes like a Mongoose. The head tube has no gussets to the top and bottom tube. On the head of the frame a tag that looks just like Mongooses vertical "BMX" is riveted to the frame. What is this ? Mongoose ? Junk ? Any aswers please reply. Butchmando

sounds like an 84-85-86 Mongoose Californian or Expert frame! Straight outta Taiwan!

Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder, or something like that, try and post a pic, that will help. Is itjunk, well it aint USA and not as collectable as earlier models, but I would keep it. Just as people shyed away from early 70's cars as junk, well now the 60's cars are to high priced guess what, people are buying up the early 70's cars now. Same thing may happen with bmx, never do know.
