I believe that the spindle hole for new school Profile bearings are slightly smaller than flights older school (mid school I suppose where there was a non threaded spindle), but will Flight bearings fit ino Profile cups? I sort of like the silver look, so I'm curious if I could use my flight bearings with new school Profile cups. Does that question make sense. Thanks gang.

i see what you're saying, see if this makes sense...

1) profiles use a 19mm axle & 19mm bearing.

2) the mid-school flights you're referring to use an (approximately) 18mm axle, a 20mm bearing, and an (approximately) 1mm shim/bushing between the axle and bearing.

3) the newest flights (taiwan) use a 19mm axle and a 19mm bearing.

you can't combine the mid-school flights w/ the profile bearings, but you could get the current "flight 2" axle and use that with your flight arms and a profile bearing set.

P.S...

no, you can't switch the RL bearings into the profile cups - the outer diameter of the bearings is different.

The outer diameter is what concerned me. Thanks.
