Its been so long that I cant remember which way to loosen a freewheel......Its comming off an old Suzue hub and it's on there pretty good. Any tips?

Just like a regular nut, counterclockwise- or else it would come of when you pedal.

Yeah but it gets confusing when you put the removal tool in a vice and you flip your wheel onto the opposite side of the freewheel, and you begin to turn the wheel instead of the tool.
I think what I finally boiled it down to, was if you lay the wheel down in the tool, (which is secured in the bench vise) then you grab the wheel and pretend like it's a big steering wheel on a bus, and you make a left hand turn. (don't forget to use your blinker!)

and if that dont work,grab the BFH and a chisel. it turns in the direction of the freewheel going as if pedaling backwards
lol- buy a tool!!! Since we started selling those ACS freewheel tools (with the long bar), I've had trouble keeping them in stock. Best tool of all time. I have yet to see a freewheel that it won't break loose.
