Does anyone have a step-by-step thread they can refer me to? Or can someone please explain to me?

I have an NOS rear MX1000 w/ Tech 3 lever.

Lots of nuts, washers, fasteners....what goes where?

Anyone have a close-up pic of a correct installation?

Any help is appreciated.

Is the brake bridge tubular design or flat?

That's what determines what all you'll need to use.
What I do is use the spacers that have the concave shape in them if the bike has a tubular brake bridge, they face each other, but on opposite sides of the brake bridge, if it's flat, then I flip those over so that the concave sides are pointing away from each other.

I hope I'm thinking of the right brake set up..

Put the 2 concave spacers together to form 1 single spacer. Place this directly under the caliper spring. This assembly will go on top of the flat brake bridge. Then on the bottom of the bridge, place a flat washer, then a nylock locknut. Having the single spacer on the top of the brake bridge should give you the clearance you need for the caliper to function properly. Adjusting the brake itself is the same with any side-pull caliper. With the MX-1000, to operate the quick-release feature, just squeeze both brake pads towards the rim with your left hand, then pull down and to the right with your other hand to release the caliper.

Clear as mud, right?????
