i've got a set of redline flite group 2 on my cruiser. the left hand spindle bolt keeps coming loose. it got so loose it almost fell out yesterday, which would have led to me falling out. the thing is, the same thing happens to a set of old school flites (401, i think) that i own. what's the diggie here. i know the whole bit about locktite but i don't feel like that is a safe remedie. any tips? thanks.

nothing wrong with loctite.you can try the removable kind,
not sure of the #(432?). never had a problem bitd.even non removable locktite is still removable.i'd try this first,then
weld the bolts if all else fails!!!!

I assume your using a threadless spindle. Maybe you have too may spacers inside the bb and its forcing the spindle bolts loose. I think the perfect bb setup is to remove shims until the bearing bind due to side load. Then add a very small shim, tighten the spindle bolts until they almost break. Perfect bb setup in my opinion.

thanks. i forgot to put in the shim inside the bb on the first install. i never had the problem then. now that i've put that sucker in there, i'm having a problem. thanks for the advice.
