Ok guys i need help here. I have managed to buy some NOS 1982 Redline Flight cranks complete with the spindle. I need to know if any other type of sealed bearing kit is available to fit these and what bits am i gonna need. Back in the day i just had sugino 3 piece cranks so not sure what parts go with the flites.
Thanks.

I assume you got a set of 401 flight cranks with the threaded spindle. You will need a 28T bb set. There are a number to chose from. You can get a loose ball Tioga (they are on ebay all the time) or you can get the sealed Tioga (also on ebay on a regular basis). If you want something nicer than the tioga stuff you can get a Hadley. Hadleys are tough to find but they are the cats meow in my opinion.

Try Skatepool.com or Alans
<<< see buttons on the side for details, Their always very helpful.
Look for a Tioga Sealed Bottom Bracket
You will a need 28 Tpi threaded BB.
I'm not sure but I think Steve from skatepool has made a mistake in his listings on the thread size.
BEST TO CONTACT Steve before purchasing and ask if they will fit your set-up.
Hope that helps.

Nice.
I just discovered Skatepool.
They have great prices on some stuff.
I'd hang on to those cro-mo Suginos though - they are nice cranks.
Are those Victor beartraps you have?
What stem is that?
The flights should be easy enough to install.
Are they really NOS '82s?
Do they have the stickers on the arms?
I just got a Tioga BB from Ray with his repro crank bolts.
I'm itching to load up my 180s as well.
I have a NOS Pete's Precision Reline-style chainring to with them....

Hi mate.
Pedals are KKT, i am on the look out for some NOS hutch beartraps though, hoping Ebay will come through for me on that one.
Stem is Hutch, Nos from Skatepool he has got one left still on the site, well pleased with that.
Yep the flights are just lush dated from around 82/83 with the stickers!!!!. I never had flights when i was a nipper so made up for it now, so thats why i am not to sure on the BB setup for them. Thay have been supplied with a loose ball BB setup but it would just be soooooo wrong to do that
PS. Just noticed your out in NZ what part?

Auckland mate.
NOS Hucthbeartrap - Biagio has some if you want to part with 280 quid.
They ARE NOS though.....
I never had flights as a kid either.
Well, I did but my mum bought them back from the States in early '85.
They were the factory powder-caotted white 401s.
I never put them on my bike and sold them
Hang out for a Hadley BB set - or not!

My brother is over in Hamilton, been there 6 years, must come over sometime. I mailed B about his beartraps but not had a reply yet.
Whats with this Hadley setup then, is it good?
