One for you techies....probably obvious but how does crank length effect gearing....would 42:16 with 150mm cranks be easier or harder than with 165mm cranks???

the gearing remains the same but the added length gives more leaverage ie: easier to pedal your feet will also cover a bigger radius happy ?
