yarrgh -- which way do i have to turn the tool (SPA-2 pin spanner by park) in order to LOOSEN the brass race? clockwise? im pulling like hell & worried to wear out the 2 lil holes. its not that the tool wasnt attached to the wheel (Followed thios advice: Freewheel Removal i.e leaving the axle; fixation of the tool w washer&nut), and tried turning other way as well but not as hard -- im afraid to leave behind apokalyptuic mess . CLOCK or COUNTERCLOCK (`=´LEFT)? thanks, Flo.

Counter clockwise, just remember it's always opposite of which way the chain will turn it while riding(just in case you ever remove a left hand drive freewheel).

If you haven't tried already, put the tool in a vise and spin the wheel off.

gee, tanks - nice "ad-vise´. when finishid with the wheel ill post a `HOw-tO´for dummies)Flo.
bmx on!

(so "L/H THREAD" really does mean:"I have always been able to get them off by putting the tool in a vice and turning the wheel.. [. . .].. I think I've worked it out where the wheel is horizontal and then you make a left hand turn as if you were turning a bus steering wheel
If I have this backwards, please correct."
if John is righr Astrodamus too is right : left side is the right side -- `steering´OR handling the tool.
