Good for mechanical services ? Schaumburg Schwinn Cyclery, which I think is now called the Bicycle & Train Connection of Schaumburg has some great mechanics. I raced with a few of them back in the 80's, so they know bmx. There is a guy named Chuck who built my DEAN mountain bike and my TREK OCLV road bike (when he worked elsewhere). he is an awesome mechanic. As far as for bmx parts ? You better stick to the mail orders and ebay. Maybe if you go to Kegals by Rockford you'll find a shop that still supports bmx. Urban sprawl took away all the Chicago bmx tracks and trails.
