Does anyone know anything about Big Cheese Bikes? Are they still in business? How is their quality? Their website,
www.bigcheesebikes.com is down. They have new parts that work for old school projects. I found their products in
www.airbomb.com. Any help is good.

Ive seen two sets of their forks now and they look like GT forks. One looks like its from the 80's and the other the 90's.. Are they a copy cat? They do look good though..

By and large, I think thier stuff is rather generic. Not much thought put into their products, probably not that high quality. They are/were a BMX parts brand started by QBP, so we see a bunch of thier stuff around here. About the only thing they made that was a hit were their grips - flatlanders seem to like them, I couldn't stand them.

I purchased their layback seatpost. Not much thought needed in making a seatpost. I was considering their threaded fork and stem (shafted), but I guess not. Thanks for your responses.

QBP just labeled misc stuff with the "big cheese" logo. the only thing i've dealt with is their 1" threaded fork - it has a long enough steerer tube to fit a 5" headtube (redline). just your basic taiwan crmo fork... nothing special, but not junk either.

Yeah, it's QBP's generic line of parts. They did have some high quality and ingenious stuff. I ran some of the "cheese grator" chainweels = strong and thick w/ quality machining. They also had the cool bike pads you can still see around, the soft rubber pads w/ big or little spikes.
It's been too long but I used to know some of the people who ran it up in Minnesota.
