Good to see there's a place to fix frames on our side of the pond! - just a shame none of mine have broken (yet!)
This post will probably get the attn of uk bmx guys - so here goes with a request - I need a lhs locknut which holds the coaster arm on, on my NOS lester mag - I think the coaster is a bendix 76??
(that's the arm that is on it anyway!)
The axle from a skyway tuuf 2 fitted ok (I needed a longer axle) - so that's the same thread - but the nut need to be big enough to cover the coaster arm - to hold it on.
I need one of these desperately - like before next weekend! - I will pay cash or swap parts - can anybody help??????
email me at keyzkev @hotmail.com (lose the gap)
if you can help!
ps -I also have a nos front lester mag in yellow if anyone is interested??

Jul 29 2004, 03:11 PM
hey subwax, sorry i cant respond until mick (frame repairer) is back from holiday. is it possible that you could send clearer pics of the frame, either its my screen or your cam but its difficult to make out the damaged areas properly.

The problem is that the frame is white, and the damage is hard to see - I'll try again, but its not going to be very clear, i'm afraid.

hey sub, if its paint then strip some paint away with nitromorse. that would help a lot, should be able to get a price sorted over the weekend for you. is this bike gonna be a rider or a display bike??

G, I have not given up, I know I have pics of the Blue that you made yellow, I just have to find them.....
I will let you know dude..

Strangely, Nitromors will not remove the first coat of paint. It removed everythnig else, but would not shift it.
This bike will be a display bike. I am unsure at the moment as to whether to build it as a PL20, white, or a 1st generation Carrera, which is chrome.

Subwax, no need to fret, that post by Bill Goode is just pants! He didn't even make a comment.
He's also recently 'put his foot in it' in the vintage freestyle 'room'.
I'm just about to send Graeme a f&f and some other bits to be powder coated and I know he's done the same for others with chrome plating.
