I have e-mailed these guys twice (over a week ago) and heard nothing back. Maybe that should tip me off about buying anything fron them, but does anyone know how to get through to Alans via e-mail? Thanks.

i tried to call alan last week and was told that all the bikes are now in a new location seperate from the skateboarding. The new shop's telephone number was not working but I was assured all would be well soon. As for buying stuff, Alans is ok, I have bought loads from him with no probs at all.
Yeah, Alan's is top notch. They've gone the extra mile for me a couple times, and their parts are as advertised. I think they are going through a move which may have things a bit confused right now.... good guys though.
Sometimes Alan seems to be"not bothered"when you phone for oldschool parts, thats my opinion!

Alan has always been top notch in my book
I know they are slow to email but Alan was telling me that they literally get so many.
They have recently opened a new shop so it probably takes a while for things to settle.
I always reckon ringing is the best bet

Alan is the top banana, he will never rob you and will always help if he can, you have to remember that he is a smallish shop in a smallish country that has to supply the demand world wide, therefore, he cannot be expected to be lightening fast.
He is a cool cool man. Because he is English and we all are.

It is best to ring Alan's for anything since he says they get so much email it is too hard to respond to it all. Every phone order I have made has been a success and I have never had a problem with the product...
IMO a standup guy.

Thanks guys. I didn't mean to insinuate that Alans is a shady business. I should have worded my post differently. I'll drop them a line to see if I can get through that wey more quickly.
Keep in mind they are in a completely different time zone than us. I call about 6 a.m. central time, always got thru.

They are swamped in emails: i know i tried a few times before with no result, so i always phone them now plus you can have a chat and see if theres any other bits around you need they haven't posted up yet. Top notch place always helpful and often throw in a small bonus. sweet !

Just for info, he has been been moving to a new shop. This will explain any delays from the normal service you get. I know it may be frustrating, and I have felt like that too, but at the end of the day, he is the main man.
His new store will include a bit of a museum, with all the old school stuff on display.
I guess this sort of says it all.
Hang in there !
