Is it possible to somehow change or modify the guts of a coasterbrake Skyway Mag to make it freewheel?
Kind of a freecoaster type setup?

Alans has the JB converter... to freewheel.
I have removed the whole coaster set up and put in the alloy flange freewheel this is a big job ,not just a case of drilling the rivet heads off and the steel flange dropping off , both flanges are also pressed together and a series of well aligned cuts need to be made through the flange (not sprocket side) towards the hub enabiling the flange to loose its grip on a fine spline. more detail if anyone wants to know.

I have in the past removed all the brakepads from inside the coasterbrake and put it all back together which has worked pretty well, but you still have the coaster arm which needs to be secured. In rims with coasterbrake there are normally two brakepads and with skyways there are four.
email if any probs
