The powder's kept them fresh this long, why mess with a good thing? Unless you prefer shiny tires...

I did that once. Didn't hurt the tires, but every time I turned I heard a loud SQUEAK!

oh, and make sure that you ONLY get the tire! I missed and got the rim and my brakes totally sucked for obvious reasons.

I noticed I was one of few with real shinny tires last weekend in Rockford, would have thought more collectors would think that was the finishing touch to any restoration... but I guess not.

I would never ever use 'armor all' on rubber surfaces. Petroleum based products cannot be good for soft rubber. I also think it looks cheesy. Just an opinion.

This is a good subject!
I'm aways wondering if I should use 'back to black' on my finished bikes because it brings out the tires just that little bit more.
If you look at my PL-24 on the front page of vbmx, you'll see that I haven't (they still have the french chalk on).
But every time I see it, I think maybe I should have polished the tires, because although they are pristine in real life they look worn and dirty in the photo...?
