Can someone tell me the era correct flight crank for an '84 JMC? I have both the non-pinch wrap around and single-pinch wrap around and I am not sure which would be correct. Thanks for any help.

What's a non-pinch or single-pinch?!

I have my old flight crack 401 at home, I have used this in my JMC shadow in '84!

Greetings from germany.

Flight cranks came out in 1980. They had no pinch bolt. About a year or later, they received a pinch bolt because the left arm bolt had a propensity to fall out. They were simply known as Flight cranks.

They received the 401 designation when Redline released the 400 series (square spindle) price point cranks that came on Carrera bikes.

The 400 and 401 were Redline part numbers in their catalog and the number just sort of stuck...
