Full Version: Hutch repro stickers inaccurate?

Maybe this has been brought up in the past, but I'm not sure.

Most of the Hutch "repro" sticker sets appearing on Ebay have the "fourth star" missing from the fork replacement stickers. The frame stickers seem to be accurate with four stars on each side of the word HUTCH, but I just can't get past that missing "outermost" star on the fork stickers.

Just thought it may be worth mentioning if any of you out there were concerned about accuracy.

never noticed that. who are those coming from (seller-wise)?

i have several of the "5 piece" sets that are sourced from stick-em-up which everyone and thier brother is offering, and those have the correct stars. stick-em-up was one of the companies that actually made original decals for hutch, so thier artwork is correct (the sets for black frames are off, though. they shouldn't have white shadowing - just the chrome-on-black, but they are just using the same screens for all the different color sets.

Well, I would rather not call anyone regarding the stickers. I bought a set of repros to stick on my toolbox in the garage....and as I was putting the fork stickers on...I thought to myself: "Hey...doesn't Hutch have 4 stars on each side of their logo?"

I looked at my bike, and sure enough they do.

I just wanted to mention of it to anyone who may not have been aware. I have noticed some beautifully restored bikes posted on this site, but ever since I realized there are incorrect 3-star fork stickers...I always look to see if people may have put them on unknowingly.

All Hutch repro's are inaccurate if you think about it..

They all come with the round decal that reads "Genuine Hutch Product"
