Thats what I hear from my new front wheel. Every revolution, over and over, slow or fast...ping ping ping. It sounds like a spoke. These are newly built wheels, rhyno lites, ss double butted spokes, profile mini hub, alloy nipples.

I checked the tension of each spoke and none are excessively loose, maybe a hair.

Do you think tightening each spoke a tad would help? What could it be?
Evan
Sounds like common spoke seating noises in a newly laced wheel. Ride 'em a bit then give 'em a once-over with the spoke wrench.

Evan is right about the nipple seating thing. If the noise does'nt go away pretty fast you either have an incompatability between the nipple/spoke eyelet (hole) -or- more than likely the wheels were built "dry". Besides using copious quantities of Spoke Prep on the spoke threads the eyelets should have been Spoke Prep-ed or at least oiled/greased. In my experience Alloy nipples have more drag around the spoke hole when tightened than their Brass/chrome counterparts. The quick fix is to shoot some type of penetrating oil at each nipple although this may loosen up the glue holding the rim strip assuming your rim has one.

Thanks Evan and 2old.

I'll try the penetrating oil...
