Could i get someone that has a dial caliper and a PK to measure the dropouts for me?
Non-Looptail early 90's frame if that makes a difference.
I was putting my rear wheel onto the frame (I was half asleep) and I noticed that there was a gap above and below the 3/8" axle in the drop out and I measured the thing and man is it off!! MAN!!
Obviously I need to come up with something so if I could get one of you good fellows to measure yours I would greatly appreciate it.
Are they supposed to have an opening of exactly 3/8" or ??
Thanks in advance.

SE Frame Washers

You need to get a set of the frame washers. They keep the dropouts from getting all chewed up, and allow a 3/8 axle to fit correctly in the dropouts.

Thank you for the reply. I do have a set of the washers and when I use them and tighten the nuts down, the wheel wants to slide back with the tension and then the chain is too tight. Kind of ratchets itself backward.
I would like to use a set of chain tensioners and I have a set of Redline but they will not work with the washers.
What kind of chain tensioners should I use and ant suggestion to keep the wheel from sliding back when I tighten it down in the mean time?
