A couple of days ago we talked about polishing aluminum but how would one go about polishing rims? If they are not flat inside what do you do?

Its called your fingers and the appropriate implements.
Polishing is labor intensive. Be it a rag, polish and plenty of rubbing or getting into steel wool and polish.
Put a good CD in the player and get to work...

Grab an old sock.... add some of your fav polish and place it between the spokes (if your rim is laced up) and simply pull back and forth wile moving it in diferant positions and then go from there. this would not be a good idea if you have alloy nipples. works realy fast. remember to buff it realy good 2 times with a clean sock each time...... If you have alloy nipples it will polish the nipples. Removing the coating... Like if you have black nipples you will have half black and half silver after... Ziggy.

If you cannot find semi-chrome there is another
polish from West Germany called "FLITZ". It is very
comparable to semi-chrome. You can find it at most
gun stores. I have been using it for the last couple
years. It works really well for polishing dull aluminum
parts. Good luck
