I am currently running a 45/16 with a 6 1/2 ashtabula crank....I will be putting on a 15 cuz' I need a little more top end...just can't seem to get enough speed to kill myself with this thing yet....but I am working on it. The recent addition of a set of skyways was a big improvement. ..(thanks ED).

I'm currently running 36/16 on my pit, and it is fine for just goofing around at slow speeds, but spins out really quick. I'll be changing it to a 39/16 as soon as I have the chance.

To get it up near a 20" ratio, either you need a sewer cover size front sprocket or you need a cassette on the back to run a small one.

I am running a 42/12 on mine which puts it right about a 44-45 /16 equivalent on a 20"

...is 44" of gear. You could pedal up a tree with that ratio.
