Sorry if there is already a topic regarding this, but today I was looking at paint and I ran into a product called Dupli-Color Anodizing paint. I piced up a can in blue, cost- $6.95 CAN. So I get home to give it the old test. I sprayed my 990 and let me tell ya, I am soooooo pleased with the turnout. It looks like I got them professionally done. I sprayed one arm, and by the time I got the second arm off my bike, the first one was dry. This is a great product and it comes in red, purple, blue, green, orange and yellow. In the US, you can pick it up at Autozone and in Canada at Canadian Tire. I hope you all have fun with this product cause I sure am, I want to anodize everything in site. Oh ya, it only works on shiny metal. Peace,
Jeff

My freind uses the stuff on his ATV. He races it and it seems to hold up pretty good. I was sceptical being a painter and all, but it does look good and I cant believe how well it sticks. I havent used it yet, but I may at some point.

I've sprayed every little thing on my bike that I thought would look good. Barrel adjusters, stem bolts etc. Now I'm gonna go do my silverware in the kitchen. LOL. Heres a tip. If you are planning on spraying something and the metal has some cosmetic damage like rust that won't come off, or scratches, give it a base coat of silver and it looks fantastic!!!

That would be a great product to spray your SKYWAY Tuff Wheel II alloy hubs with.

Too bad they dont make black.....the spraypaint on my stem is looking like crap and scratching off.

I tried it on a pr of polished brakes & it could easily be scratched off with my thumb nail. I was hoping for more durability...maybe if the part is lightly sanded to give the paint something to grab onto but otherwise it's just like the crap "translucent" paints they made way back when. Might work ok over something already anodized that has faded with time to help hide the fade but I'll stick to doing my powder coating which I have a ton of "candy" colors to choose from & I know it's far more durable.
