Sorry if this question was asked already, but I am working on a 79-84 PK and an early OM Flyer. Does anyone know ALL the original colors for these bikes from the factory? I was thinking of a tan for the PK but I don't see any in the Museum.

Thanks Lionel

Here's the only info I can offer:

January 1983 issue of BMX Action.
531 Reynolds Quadangle was available in:

B|tchen Black
Bold Blue
Rippin' Red
Factory Flyer Light Blue
Washboard White

June 1981 issue of Bicycle Motocross Action.
P.K. Ripper

Red
Blue
Black
Silver (burnished aluminum)

I do know they were offered in other colors over the years, but don't know the complete colors list, or years.

For example, in the P.K. test...

One of the test riders was the old P.K. himself. There was a sidebar on PKifying the P.K. - how Perry Kramer tricked out his own personal scoot.

In that section it states, and I quote, "The frame is stock. He was on a gold number for our photos, but since gold is being phased out, he'll be swapping for light blue." end quote.

And if you notice the above color list supplied for the frame in the test, neither gold or light blue are on the list. I'm 99.9% sure white was an original factory color for the P.K. at some point in time. And personally I have seen Yellow, Tan, and Brown P.K. Rippers over the years. Although that does not make those colors original factory colors.

Sorry this is the best I can do.

I remember seeing a pic of PK on the gate riding a tan PK awhile back. Go for it!

By the way, Happy B-Day bro!
