Has anyone here powdercoated a helmet and how much did it cost? Should I have it painted with auto paint instead?

You cannot powdercoat a helmet, its plastic/fiberglass and would burn/melt in the 400 degree oven that is used to fuse powder.
PEP
airbrush maybe you'd have a lump of plastic with powder

Paint, airbrush or apply vinyl decals/graphics and clear coat.
