So how much do ya think it would cost a guy to get a Alliant Chromed
oldschoolrob
It would be cheaper to polish it. To chrome it You would need to polish, brass plate, polish again, chrome plate, then polish one more time. Not cheap at all.

So what yer sayin is, that just buying a can of chrome spray paint just wont cut it huh?

I thought that chromeing alu made it weaker .

chrome doesn't stick to aluminum very well. i have a chromed aluminum rim that started peeling/bubbling in less than a year. ugh. i only bought chrome rims for the stop power though.

go with polishing and maybe a clearcoat.

You can get it done at ST Louis Plateing Co.
But like they say it will come off later. .
Polish it ! ! and keep a can of Brasso handy or mutha's mag polish

Polished aluminum is "trick". Chroming aluminum is like painting over teak! Just my $.02....

the wall, i've been plating for 22 years, and trust me/us on this one, don't chrome it. you'll regret it, money spent and eventually it will blister and peel.

If it didn't have the steel headtube insert, anodizing would have been trick.
