I like Chris King stuff because he is extremely environmentally conscious about everything he produces. His factory is low power, he recycles his metal shavings, and he just does the right thing. The kicker about all of this is that he never even told anyone about this until this year, but he has been doing it this way for years.
If his workers ride their bike to work, they get $$$ to spend in the company cafeteria.
He supports my MTB team with incredible discounts, they seem to be less than actual cost.
All around good guy. I am sold.

Yes, the old addage still holds true. You get what you pay for. their headsets are the BEST.
Their hubs are the BEST as well. After racing on King hubs, you'll see what I talking about!
Furthermore, they REPLACE ANYTHING that gets broken, which you will probably never do anyway. No hitches, they replace it!
Check ou thier website, their GREEN way of manufacturing is really cool....right down to the landscaping of the facility......

Thants great to know. The town I live near is run by the green party.
I ordered a set of green ano hubs from him awhile back and he called me to let me know that the color was a little off from the front and rear. Im talkin barely off. I paint cars and it was such a slight mismatch that most would never notice, especially at opposite ends of the bike. He just wanted to make sure that I knew this before they shipped them. He is alot more picky than I am and a great persn to do biz with. Plus great parts...

it's great when sound business philosophy meets truly innovative design.
I submitted feedback with praise at the king website and received this reply just a few minutes after:
quote:
Hello Kevin,
Thank you very much for the praise. I am going to make sure that the shop guys see this because they are the ones who do all of the work. Thanks again.

So cool the guys in the plant are going to get the good word passed along. Seems everybody at King knows how to do it right. I'm super impressed.

hubs are good, headsets too. i needed an extra lower race for my santa cruz bullit for a different fork. they sold it to me for 4.00 , i had asked race face to do that and all they did was give me a part # and said that i had to use a bike shop to order it from. what a pain, never did it. you pay a little more but it is worth it. can't wait 'till he releases his bottom bracket

their hubsets are awesome, we sell them at the store I work at (united cycle in edmonton, alberta!) plug plug and his cassette hubs have a 4 pawl design that is supposedly indestructable. The down hill kid swears by them. So check them out!
