Oh one for the cleaning

Hubs use to work for us in the olden day when shimano and lo flange hubs were definitely in.Just run a piece of material that has enough weight to merry go round. When you ride it will spin and clean at the same time.

For noise crush an aluminum can and place it behind the fork or chain stay.Bugs the $$HIT OUT OF your friends and neighbors at the very least your dad.

no cans cause your not old enough to drink beer.Use a poker card between the brakes and tape it.

Run a tap through the hardware on any used parts you buy to make sure they clamp hard.

Don't date any dead hookers.
Never kid a kidder.

never use a metal hammer for your resto banging needs. try a rubber mallot.

if you can't fix it, do something else, then come back to it. works wonders.

take risks, you'll be glad you did.

one more thing.....

Just came up with this one today. I pulled my old Profiles off to apply a little grease and managed to lose one of the spacers for my left crank arm. I don't have any spares and the shops I went to would have to special order one. In the meantime, a quick fix is a 5/8 lock washer. Just bend it back flat and grind out the middle with the dremmel. It'l fit as snug as the original spacer, and it's almost exact in thickness.

Second tip is to use an old coffee can with a hole in the lid to put small parts in when you're working on the bike. This usually prevents he need for tip #1.

- Thread chasers for chasing threads, tap and dies for cutting threads. (A tap will wear on good threads.)

- Dawn dish washing liquid seems to have better surface adhesion than others. If you're going to but dish washing liquid for above tips, go w/ Dawn. But if you've already got something, don't worry about it, it's not _that_ much better.

- Kroil by Kano Labs cuts rust mucho better than WD40.
