I am finally getting to work on a gt jr I have in my possession and I have a pair of gt powerseries cranks in 175mm. My question is is it worth the hassle/ cost of having the cranks professionally chopped, tapped and polished to a 150mm length? Is there anyone out there who has had this type of crank surgery? Thanks in advance,
Jesse D

There used to be a guy in Oregon that did that for people. No clue what his name was, but maybe Pliska might know if he's still around.

As a pro mechanic it ain't worth it if the rider is that small get a set of smaller cranks as they will be way lighter than the gt cranks and save the gt's for im when he gets bigger and will go through about three sets a season!
